THE APPRENTICE’S HOUSE

The old half-timbered house on Bornholm’s cliffedside island, is a showcase of good craftmanship. The house needed a restoration and additional houses to serve as a meetingroom, workshop and provide a dormitory for the students. My intention was to keep the purest and best craftmanship that there were in the original house and take away old the noise that disturbed the incredible knowledge the wooden structure testified about. The additional houses took the structure sytem from the orignal house and applied it as complete wood structure. Letting the orginal og manor stand out with its clay and wood walls.
